Singapore's thriving innovation ecosystem provides a stellar foundation for startups, yet the key to sustained growth lies in navigating global markets effectively.

This 2 hour workshop is designed for startup founders and their senior teams who are ready to scale internationally, or likely to want to explore that option in the next year or two. They will come away with a clear picture of both the challenges and opportunities of taking a first step to a new market. Participants will come away with templates for mapping the cities they might want to explore next, as well as information on the public sources of information they can start to use to look at their options abroad.

The workshop is facilitated by JFDI.Asia founder Hugh Mason, who will share his experience of supporting more than 100 startups to take their first step to a new market. It will include brief presentations by 6 teams of NTU Masters students who have applied that experience to contrasting markets around Asia, aiming both to fill in gaps in public information on cities that are not as easy to navigate as Singapore, and also to explore different hacks to get information when the starting points are not clear. How reliable is the data they have found or you might reveal using similar techniques? Be the judge, score their insights, and come away ready to make your own leap beyond our island!
