ACE x SP: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 30 August - 2 September 2022 ACE and Singapore Polytechnic co-organised a three-day bootcamp recently.
18 SP students from the School of Business and the School of Engineering were introduced to the Singapore startup ecosystem and learnt much more about entrepreneurship!
They were exposed to the fundamentals of running a startup, interacted with and gleaned useful insights from founders, and also put their pitching skills to the test.

JSIP Reverse Pitch Event 31 August 2022
ACE recently joined hands with JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. to co-organise a Japan Southeast Asia Innovation Platform (JSIP) Reverse Pitch Event.
A selected group of startups got the opportunity to connect with several corporates including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, East Japan Railway Company, Obayashi Singapore, Rico, and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc.

Orientation for New LaunchPad Tenants 31 August 2022 ACE, in collaboration with JTC, held a welcome and orientation event for our new LaunchPad at one-north tenants recently. Besides sharing with them various ACE, JTC, and Pro-Enterprise Panel (PEP) initiatives, we also brought the founders on a tour around the LaunchPad and ACE facilities.
As the national trade association for startups, ACE is committed to providing networking opportunities for our business leaders and nurturing strong ties amongst ecosystem stakeholders.

Visit by Naver CEO 1 September 2022 ACE hosted Mr Weongi Park, CEO of NAVER Cloud, and his team at the ACE office in Block 67 recently.
We had an engaging discussion with NAVER on various topics including the Singapore startup ecosystem, corporate-startup collaborations, and cloud services.
This is one of many corporate visits at ACE and we are committed to creating more opportunities and improving market access for our startups. We will continue to build stronger ties and explore potential partnerships with corporates.

Fireside chat: How to navigate the bear market 9 September 2022
ACE, together with FAZZ Financial Group and JTC, jointly organised a fireside chat to discuss the challenges and opportunities of a bearish market last Friday.
At the event, Yinglan Tan, founding managing partner of Insignia Venture Partners, Hendra Kwik, Tianwei Liu, group CEO and group deputy CEO of FAZZ Financial Group shared their valuable insights and experiences with the audience, including founders and startup employees.
There was also a networking session for the participants. We thank everyone for making this event a success and look forward to meeting you again.

The Sustainability Business Case for SMEs 20 September 2022 | 9:00am - 5:00pm | SBF Centre
SBF and GIC are jointly organising an introductory training course on sustainability. Join Shiao-yin Kuik (Common Ground) and Grace Cheah (Sustinere) to learn how businesses can play their roles in solving the climate crisis and what businesses can do to integrate sustainability into business operations to future-proof themselves.
The training course is conducted in hybrid format and participants can choose to attend in-person at the SBF Centre or online via Zoom.

Huawei Spark Incubator Programme
Huawei has launched a new Spark Incubator Programme for early stage startups in Fintech, Web3 and Enterprise SaaS fields.
This is an intensive five-month programme designed to support early stage, Singapore-based startups in pre-seed and seed stages. Through this programme, startups will be able to sharpen their go-to-market strategy and strengthen their product and technological capabilities through curated masterclasses and 1-1 guidance.
Startups will also get to build business connections through Huawei’s corporate and venture capital partners for post-programme investment opportunities.

Curium's MoU signing
ACE member Curium has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Continental, a German multinational automotive company.
Leveraging Curium's multi-sensor calibration technology for automotive vehicles (AVs), this partnership will increase the reliability and safety of sensors used in Continental’s AVs and other automated driving systems.
