Calling all NEW startups and tenants in the LaunchPad @ one-north! ACE and JTC would like to invite you to our next Welcome Tea session!
This is a new initiative that seeks to foster a stronger community spirit in the LaunchPad, and help startups learn more about relevant ecosystem events and programmes.
ACE and JTC will give short presentations and bring participants on a short tour of the LaunchPad and ACE facilities. Each company may send up to two representatives. Light refreshments will be provided. |

Panasonic Deep Tech Innovation Challenge 4
ACE is partnering with Panasonic to drive the fourth run of the Panasonic Deep Tech Innovation Challenge (DTIC 4). We are looking for partners to build on Panasonic's ozone water device and fast data transfer technologies. Selected applicants will be given the opportunity to conduct a joint proof of concept project and embark on a joint venture with Panasonic. Cash prizes will also be awarded to winners. This Challenge is sector-agnostic and open to any startup or company. |

Foreign Media Engagement in LaunchPad @ one-north 26 October 2022 Together with Carmen Yuen, General Partner of Vertex Ventures SE Asia & India, and B. Paul Santos, Managing Partner of Wavemaker Partners, ACE Chairman James Tan fielded questions from Thai and Vietnamese journalists at a foreign media engagement session held during SWITCH.
They spoke about a broad range of topics including the challenges and opportunities in Singapore and the regional startup ecosystems, startup funding trends and intricacies, as well as the roles of various ecosystem stakeholders in Singapore.

Panel Discussion on LATAM Startup Ecosystem 28 October 2022 At the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH) event, our Assistant Director Jerrick Tee led a discussion on the opportunities in the fast-growing Latin America startup ecosystem.
The panellists include Stefan Krautwald, Managing Director of Latin Leap, Gary Loh, Founder of DiMuto, and Felipe Matos, President of the Brazilian Startups Association.
One key takeaway is there are many opportunities in LATAM, and entrepreneurs should explore them with an open mind.

Roundtable Discussion with Startups 28 October 2022
ACE recently held our ninth roundtable discussion with startups this year.
The session was chaired by our CEO Florence Neo and Head of Communications and Engagement Joseph Khong. They discussed with six founders and business leaders on ways to uplift the Singapore startup ecosystem, covering startup grants, SME loans, emerging technologies in blockchain and crypto, and regulatory sandboxes.

Singapore Market Access Programme ACE hosted six Taiwanese startups in Singapore recently.
The four-day programme began with a tour of the LaunchPad @ one-north, a visit to SWITCH, as well as workshops and talks to help the startups learn more about the Singapore startup ecosystem, pitching, sales, and marketing.
Ahead of the final pitch day, we arranged 1:1 mentoring sessions for the participants, who then got to pitch to our network of corporates and VCs.

ACE x PT Grahabuana Cikarang x Accelebator MOU Signing Ceremony 1 November 2022
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ACE, PT Grahabuana Cikarang and Accelebator was signed last Tuesday.
This partnership will facilitate Singapore startups' entry into Indonesia's vast market. ACE will also be welcoming Indonesian startups in Singapore.

ACE x Zoom Networking Event 3 November 2022 Last Thursday, ACE and Zoom organised a panel discussion titled “Elevating your Digital Offerings to Adapt to Changing Customer Expectations”. Our distinguished panellists Ricky Kapur, Head of APAC, Zoom, Ajey Gore, Operating Partner of Sequoia Capital, and Zhibo Sun, Chief Product Officer at LingoAce spoke about the latest digital trends, customer engagement, and the challenges and opportunities in a digitalised world.

ACE Under 35 2022 4 November 2022 Heartiest congratulations to the 10 individuals who have made it into the ACE Youth Sub-Committee Under 35 list this year!
Last Friday evening, Mr Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth & Second Minister for Law presented tokens to the 10 honourees during a gathering of about 100 startup ecosystem stakeholders at the Mandala Club.
Minister was accompanied by ACE Chairman James Tan, ACE CEO Florence Neo, and Chairperson of the Youth Sub-Committee Benjamin Emmanuel Lee.
Well done to the honourees. Keep up the good work!

Aspara Startup Day in Singapore
Joseph Khong, Head of Communications & Engagement at ACE, was invited to attend the Aspara Startup Day in Singapore last Friday. It was one of the three satellite events in the region, organised by Alibaba Cloud and KrASIA.
As one of the judges for the inaugural AsiaStar 10x10 campaign, Joseph presented awards to 17 deserving winners.
The campaign celebrates Southeast Asia's innovations, and recognises 100 companies, communities and projects that have effected meaningful change in the region over the past year. Find out more and check out the full list of winners here. |
