Uzbekistan Delegation Visit 11 January 2023 ACE was honoured to meet with a distinguished delegation from Uzbekistan recently.
The ACE team, led by our CEO Florence Neo, hosted Mr. Otabek Fayazov, Head of the International Department of the Ministry of Innovative Development, and Mr. Akbarkhon Sobirkhonov, Head of the Youth Academy of Uzbekistan, at the ACE Ideation Centre.
We had an engaging discussion on both Singapore's and Uzbeistan's startup ecosystems, as well as potential collaboration opportunities.

Southeast Asia's dynamic startup funding scene
ACE Chairman James Tan spoke with Channel NewsAsia (CNA) on the dynamic startup funding scene recently.
Despite challenging economic headwinds, James noted that Southeast Asia remains a bright spot for foreign investors. "We are seeing interest from foreign investors, including from Europe, the US, and even from North Asia in Southeast Asia because they see the opportunities here that can be brought about through technology and disruption."

Startup Hub: Q&A with Joseph Khong of ACE
ACE's Head of Communications & Engagement Joseph Khong was recently interviewed by KrASIA on the role that ACE plays in the Singapore startup ecosystem and the opportunities that lay ahead for startups.
"We've come quite far in the past decade, especially if you look at the number of startups we have and the kinds of players in the ecosystem," said Joseph.
"We have seen an increase in the usage of digital solutions in many countries, along with a growing trust in these solutions. So I think scalable digital solutions are something that startups can look into, whether in financial services, e-commerce, manufacturing, or other sectors. Startups have a plethora of issues and pain points to address, and this holds true across all sectors."
