Ajinkya holds a Masters in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and a PhD from the National University of Singapore. He specializes in wearable textile sensors and actuators and had 10 publications and 5 patents during his 6-year research career.

Having run a digital products business and consultancy, he also has experience in branding, digital marketing and sales.



Always driven by real world use cases of the research, he founded Seamless XR that is working toward bringing this research to market to enable sensory as well as motor rehabilitation accessible in an at-home setting. Seamless build wearable sensors that help gamify motor rehab while allowing track of vital data- speed, range of motion and pinch force, as well as wearable haptics that allow therapists to diagnose the location and extent of a patients' loss of sensation in an objective and semi-automated manner.

John has over 4 decades of experience in biomedical engineering and electronic instrumentation and is recognised as a leading expert in his field by peers. He founded the Biomedical Engineering Centre in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, in 2000, and had served as Deputy Director to the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department.

He is a prolific inventor, with over 10 patent applications to his name, and a familiar face in Singapore’s R&D scene, having won numerous research and product development grants from various arms of the Singapore Government.

Adnan is the Technology Lead at the Dementia Research Centre (Singapore), at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine which focuses on understanding Asian Dementia via neuropsychology, neuroimaging, and blood biomarkers, to identify its causes and creating novel digital and blood biomarkers for early detection and intervention in Asian Dementia and Cognitive Impairment.

Passionate about advancing healthcare through technology, Keith excels in product development, regulatory strategy, and commercialization. A naturalized Singaporean originally from Malaysia, he balances his professional pursuits with spending quality time with his young son. Keith is also an advocate for fostering impactful collaborations and sustainable business practices in the Medtech industry.

Gjan Lim is the founder of Healthcare Essentials Singapore and Malaysia. A veteran in the medical device industry, with 20 years of experience. Gjan brings in wealth of experience and skills in commercial, marketing and business development. He acquired these during his years with MNCs including Olympus, Tyco healthcare, Covidien and Medtronic which he last served as a director for Singapore and Malaysia.

The subject of trade and development has been of great interest to him. He firmly believe in trade as means to stimulate economic growth and job creation, keeping track of trends and market opportunities. He has nested extensive experience in distributors and dealers network within Southeast Asia.

Since 2012, Gjan focused on empowering Singapore SMEs in business activities with medical devices regulatory authorities, all of this is accomplished in close cooperation with Med-Tech Industry Group of Singapore manufacturing federation, currently serving as Membership Engagement Chairman.

He has more than 12 years of experience conducting R&D and managing innovation in health-related fields. In his current role, he oversees the planning and execution of the Consortium’s ecosystem-building initiatives, including industry development, facilitating public-private innovation projects and community-building events. During his time as a researcher, he has worked in several disciplines of molecular biology and bioengineering, collaborated with clinicians, and held roles as co-investigator or theme lead of projects. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles/book chapters and holds 3 patent applications. Passionate in contributing to the healthcare and biomedical engineering community, he currently serves as the Vice-President and Executive Committee member of the Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore).
